BEST FOR:

🐔 Poultry & Chickens
Apply directly to birds’ feathers for lice and mite control. Add to dust baths. Mix into coop litter for moisture and odour control. Blend into feed at 1-2% as a supplement.

🐄 Cattle & Dairy
Mix into dry feed and grain at 1-2% of total feed weight. Apply to dairy shed floors and drains to reduce moisture and fly activity. No milk withholding period.

🐖 Pigs
Blend into feed at 1-2% of total feed weight as a natural anti-caking and flow agent.

🐴 Horses
Add to grain or chaff at 1-2% of total daily feed weight. Apply to stable bedding for moisture and odour control.

🐑 Sheep & Goats
Mix into feed at 1-2% of total feed weight. Dust lightly into wool for lice control.

🐾 Pets — Dogs & Cats
Apply lightly to coat for flea and tick control. Dust into bedding and carpet areas. Use as kitty litter or blend with existing litter.

🌱 Garden & Foliar Spray
Mix with water (1 tablespoon per litre) and spray directly onto plant foliage for aphids, thrips, and whitefly. Dust lightly around plant bases for soil-dwelling pests.

🐜 Indoor Pest Control
Apply along skirting boards, in cracks and crevices, under appliances, and along ant trails. Finest grade penetrates the smallest gaps.

🌾 Stock Feed Anti-Caking
Ideal as a natural anti-caking agent in dry feed and grain mixes — improves flow and prevents clumping.

BEST FOR:

All the same applications as Fines — feed additive, coop litter, dust bath, and direct application to birds. Slightly coarser texture works well in coop litter for extra absorption.

🐄 Cattle & Livestock
Mix into feed at 1-2% of total feed weight for fly control via feed-through. Apply around yards, crush areas, and bedding for lice and external parasite control.

🐴 Horses
Add to feed at 1-2% of daily intake. Excellent for stable and yard application — absorbs urine and reduces ammonia odour in stable bedding.

🐑 Sheep
Mix into feed. Apply to yards and shearing sheds to reduce moisture and lice populations.

🐾 Pets
Flea and tick treatment on pet coats. Carpet and bedding treatment. Kennel floor and run treatment. Kitty litter — excellent absorption and odour control.

🌿 Garden & Soil
Apply to soil surface around plant bases and along bed edges for slug, snail, and crawling insect control. Work lightly into soil as a silicon amendment.

🌱 Vegetable Gardens
Apply around rows and individual plants to deter crawling pests. Safe to use right up to harvest — no chemical residues.

🐜 Ants & Crawling Insects
Apply a thin line along ant trails, entry points, and around the perimeter of the home. Most effective general-purpose ant control grade.

🦟 Fleas — Carpet Treatment
Dust lightly into carpet fibres, leave 48-72 hours, then vacuum. Most effective grade for carpet flea treatment.

🪵 Termite Protection — Pallets & Timber
Dust generously onto timber pallet surfaces and into cracks and joints. Coarser than Fines so stays in place longer on horizontal surfaces.

🛡️ Light Spill Absorption
Scatter over small oil and grease spills on concrete and pavers. Sweep up after 15-30 minutes.

🌾 Grain Storage
Mix through stored grain at 1-2kg per tonne for weevil and beetle protection. Even coating throughout the grain mass.

🌱 Soil Amendment & Conditioning
Work into garden beds, vegetable patches, and lawn areas to improve soil structure, aeration, and water retention. Excellent in both sandy soils (improves water retention) and clay soils (improves drainage and aeration).

🪴 Potting Mix Additive
Add to potting mix at 10-20% by volume to improve drainage, prevent compaction, and extend water availability to roots. Particularly effective for succulents, natives, and vegetables.

🌾 Pasture Improvement
Broadcast across pasture at recommended spreading rates to improve soil silicon content and stimulate root development. Research across 150 Queensland farms showed up to 28% yield increases.

🌽 Broadacre & Cropping
Apply to paddocks before planting as a soil silicon supplement. Unlocks phosphorus already in the soil and builds drought and salinity resistance in crops.

Use as a lightweight fill, insulating aggregate, or additive in green concrete formulations. 15% replacement of Portland cement has been shown to increase compressive strength by 53%.

🌡️ Thermal Insulating Paints
Add to paint formulations to create millions of trapped air pockets that reduce heat transfer, improving energy efficiency in buildings.

Filter medium for oils, industrial liquids, and process water. Chemically inert and non-reactive with most industrial substances.

🛢️ Heavy Oil & Chemical Spill Absorption
The coarsest and most absorbent grade for large spills. Scatter generously over diesel, hydraulic fluid, motor oil, and chemical spills on concrete, soil, and gravel. Absorbs quickly and sweeps up cleanly.

🚛 Truck & Machinery Spill Kits
Keep a bag in the truck or machinery shed for field spill management on farms and remote sites. The coarse grade is easy to handle, scoop, and pour from a bucket in the field.

🏗️ Industrial & Construction
Use as a lightweight aggregate in concrete, render, and building products. Structural fill for cavities and voids. Acoustic and thermal insulation aggregate.

🏠 Under-Slab & Foundation Drainage

🌾 Large-Scale Soil Conditioning

DE has a very high melting point (approximately 1650°C) making coarse grade suitable for high-temperature industrial applications including refractory materials and insulation.
