DE is an ideal natural absorbent for the oils, fats, and grease that accumulate around BBQs, outdoor kitchens, and cooking areas. Completely chemical-free and safe to use around food preparation surfaces.
Reduces odour, deters flies and insects, especially around foods
After cooking: Scatter DE generously over oil and fat spills on concrete, pavers, tiles, or gravel around your BBQ area. Leave for 15β30 minutes to absorb, then sweep up and dispose of in general waste.
BBQ drip trays: Sprinkle a layer of DE into your BBQ drip tray before cooking to absorb dripping oils and fats. This reduces flare-ups, makes cleaning easier, and significantly reduces smoke from burning fat. Replace after each use.
Fat fryer and cooking oil spills: DE absorbs cooking oils rapidly and completely β scatter over the spill, leave a few minutes, then sweep up. Far more effective than paper towels or sawdust.
Outdoor entertaining areas: Keep a small container of DE near your BBQ and outdoor kitchen for instant spill response. A light scatter around the base of the BBQ area absorbs grease splatter and keeps the area clean between cleans.
Bin and waste areas: Scatter DE around BBQ waste bins and compost areas to absorb food oils, reduce odour, and deter flies and insects from breeding in fatty organic waste.
DE is the All time NO SMELL natural mineral and absorbs any odours!
