We process by crushing and screening only — no chemicals, no heat treatment, no additives.
Diatomaceous Earth (DE) is a 100% natural mineral formed from the fossilised remains of microscopic aquatic algae called diatoms. These tiny organisms lived in ancient freshwater lakes and over millions of years their intricate silica shells accumulated into the remarkable, powdery mineral we offer today.
Our DE is biogenic amorphous silica — meaning it is:

Many people hear “silica” and think of danger. That concern is valid — but it applies to a completely different form of silica.
Crystalline silica (found in concrete dust and some mining operations) is linked to serious lung disease. Our DE is amorphous silica — a completely different molecular structure that is chemically inert and non-hazardous.
Our product is certified by independent Australian laboratories confirming respirable quartz below 0.5% — well below the Australian limit of reporting. We never calcine (heat treat) our DE, which is the process that converts safe amorphous silica into hazardous crystalline silica.
