DE Bug harnesses the natural power of diatomaceous earth (DE) — a mineral formed over millions of years from microscopic fossilised algae mined from our own deposit in Far North Queensland, Australia.
DE works by mechanical action, not chemical toxicity. Its microscopic sharp edges penetrate the waxy exoskeleton of insects, causing them to dehydrate and perish. Because it works mechanically, insects cannot develop resistance — unlike chemical pesticides.

DE Bug can be applied directly to your pet’s coat to help control fleas and ticks:
Part the fur and lightly dust DE Bug powder along the back, neck, belly, and base of tail — avoid eyes, nose, and mouth.
Work the powder gently into the coat with your fingers.
Leave for 24–48 hours, then brush out and bathe if desired.
Treat pet bedding at the same time — lightly dust, leave for 24 hours, then vacuum thoroughly.
Repeat weekly during flea season or as needed.
Amount: Approximately 1–2 teaspoons per medium-sized dog. A light dusting is all that’s needed.
Sprinkle a thin, even layer along skirting boards, carpet edges, under furniture, and in cracks and crevices where insects travel.
For carpets, sprinkle lightly and work into fibres with a brush or broom.
Leave undisturbed for 24–72 hours — the longer the better.
Vacuum thoroughly to remove powder and dead insects.
Repeat every 1–2 weeks for ongoing control or after vacuuming.
Amount: Approximately 100g per average-sized room for carpet treatment.
Apply to the soil surface around plants, along garden bed edges, and directly onto affected leaves.
Dust lightly onto plant foliage where pest damage is visible — aphids, thrips, whitefly, caterpillars.
Reapply after rain or heavy watering — DE loses effectiveness when wet but reactivates when dry.
Apply in the early morning or evening to avoid harming bees — avoid flowering plants during bloom.
Amount: Approximately 200–300g per square metre of garden bed. A light dusting on foliage is sufficient.
Remove birds or animals from the area first.
Dust DE Bug generously into coop litter, nesting boxes, perches, and crevices — red mites hide in cracks during the day.
Dust lightly onto birds’ feathers — part feathers and apply around vent, neck, and under wings.
Reapply weekly during active mite infestations, monthly for prevention.
Amount: Approximately 500g per average coop. Repeat weekly during mite season.
